The Great Migration
Saturday, May 26th at 5:00PM. Following a sold out performance Palm Sunday, April 1, 2012, the CSO Gospel Choir presents their Piccolo Spoleto performance of THE GREAT MIGRATION: 1915-1930 African-American Southern Exodus, a musical story of the southern African-American exit from oppressive post reconstruction Jim Crow laws. Guest Conductor Nathan L. Nelson will guide the Choir musically at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, downtown Charleston. Tickets are available for $21.00 through Piccolo Spoleto outlets and 11.00 students with I.D. through at the door only and from Choir members for $16 in advance.
